LEARN HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN BODY WASH AND NATURAL SHAMPOO SOAP BARS!

North Devon Soap is hosting a beginner's soap making course at Broomhill Estate, Muddiford. You will learn how to make your own body wash & shampoo soap bars, have all-day access to the Sculpture Garden and enjoy a sumptuous lunch!
Using certified organic butters and oils, you will discover the ancient art of cold process soap making. You will learn about the history of soap making, the materials you are using, how to make body wash and shampoo soap bars using the cold process method plus plenty of tips and tricks from the soapmaker herself! You will make and take home 7-8 large bars you make on the day.
Your course will look like:

- Brief history of Soap Making
- Introduction to Natural Materials and Soap Making Equipment
- Soap Making Demonstration
- Soap Making
All equipment is provided but please bring a towel and a cardboard box large enough to fit a drinks carton in. You will use the towel and box to take home your soap.
Your included lunch offers:
Sandwiches: Bakewell Smoked Salmon, Salt Baked & Picked Beetroot with Watercress and David Stows Cheddar with Garden Chutney.
Sweet: Chocolate Ganache – Oat Biscuit
You will have access to the Sculpture Gardens throughout the day.
The afternoon course will start at 2:00pm and finish by 4:30pm. Lunch will be served at 1pm.
This course will be run on Saturday 13th May 2023 at the Art Hotel, Broomhill Estate, Muddiford, Barnstaple EX31 4EX. (Please ask us for directions if needed.)
